Ultimate EscapesSM Congratulates Club Member, Doc Rivers,
Head Coach of the Boston Celtics
His team wins their 17th NBA championship, first in 22 years!
June 18, 2008--Last Tuesday night's 131-92 win over the Los Angeles Lakers earned the Celtics their first NBA title since 1986. The 39-point margin surpassed the NBA record set by the Celtics in a 129-96 rout of the Lakers in the 1965 Finals.
A large share of the credit for this outstanding achievement goes to
Ultimate Escapes's®
club member and Celtics' head coach Glenn "Doc" Rivers.

Boston’s top three players: Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen had a combined 69 points, 21 rebounds, 16 assists and eight steals. All three will wear championship rings. With four minutes left in the game, they left the floor to a rousing ovation.
“They came in as a group; I thought we should take them out as a group – we love each other,” said Doc in a quote in USA Today.
But a huge share of credit for this outstanding achievement goes to Ultimate Escapes's® club member and Celtics' head coach Glenn "Doc" Rivers.
